Pastor Meekyung is a graduate from Ewha Woman’s University in Korea.
Ewha Woman’s University is the largest woman’s university in the world founded by Mrs. Scranton who was the first woman missionary from the Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist Church in the United States.
Pastor Meekyung is also a graduate from Drew Theological Seminary. Drew is the only theological school founded by action of the General Conference and Drew sent the first Methodist missionary, Henry G. Appenzeller to Korea in 1885.
Pastor Meekyung is married and has three children. She is thankful for the opportunity to serve the Flanders United Methodist Church and the community of Flanders.
The present congregation is engaged in vital ministries in this community and worldwide as we follow Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

After much prayer we transitioned the 170 year old church into a new effort called The Church – A gate to God. We now have a missional emphasis using hiking, biking and various outdoors means to reach, teach, and love people with the love of Christ.
